IMT Residential Celebrates One Year of Citrus Commons with Community Ribbon Cutting and Open House Event

SHERMAN OAKS, CA. June 12, 2026

IMT Residential celebrated the first anniversary of Citrus Commons with a ribbon cutting ceremony and community open house, welcoming residents, local business leaders, project partners, and members of the Sherman Oaks community to commemorate the milestone and the property’s continued growth.

Hosted in partnership with the Greater San Fernando Valley Chamber of Commerce, the event celebrated Citrus Commons’ first year as a residential community while highlighting the property’s unique history and contribution to the Sherman Oaks neighborhood.

Located on the former Sunkist Growers headquarters site, Citrus Commons transformed a landmark property into a modern residential community while honoring the legacy that has long connected the location to Southern California’s agricultural heritage.

“Over the past year, Citrus Commons has grown into a vibrant community that reflects the energy and character of Sherman Oaks,” said Randa Issa, Regional Vice President. “This celebration provides an opportunity to thank our residents, partners, and neighbors who have helped make the community such a success.”

Guests attending the event enjoyed refreshments, networking opportunities, and remarks from project leaders and community representatives before participating in the ceremonial ribbon cutting. Following the ceremony, attendees were invited to tour the community and explore its amenities.

Since welcoming its first residents, Citrus Commons has established itself as a distinguished addition to Sherman Oaks, offering thoughtfully designed apartment homes and a collection of amenities that support modern lifestyles. Residents enjoy access to a resort-style pool, a fitness studio, a dedicated Peloton studio, two collaboration studios with working pods and private offices, outdoor gathering areas, pet-friendly amenities, and convenient access to shopping, dining, and entertainment throughout the neighborhood.

The event reflected Citrus Commons’ ongoing focus on resident engagement and local partnerships, reinforcing the community connections that have helped shape its successful first year.
