First things first, how do you get to the fair? It’s easy, the fair is located on Ventura Boulevard fromVan Nuys to Kester. You can either park at the venue on side streets or take a convenient shuttle that runs every 30 minutes to and from the event at the Sunkist building parking lot provided by IMT Residential. Hop on the shuttle from the Sunkist parking lot (14130 Riverside Drive Sherman Oaks, CA 91403) and get to the fair fast and hassle-free.

Once you arrive, come play with adorable dogs, or even adopt a new furry friend who is in desperate need of a home at the IMT Pet Zone. This year, the Pet Zone will feature pet adoptions and animal non-profit groups such as the California Wildlife Center and the Pet Orphans of Southern California. We will also be giving away a free BarkBox to the first three people who adopt a pet, as well as a goodies bag with toys from Centinela Feed & Pet Supplies to all new pet owners who adopt that day! Come learn more about how you can help animals through a local non-profit foundation, or immediately give an animal a new, loving home.

After you stop by the Pet Zone, let the kids enjoy the carnival and fun zone put on the by the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. Kids can crawl on a 25-foot slide, rock-climbing wall and jump onto a Velcro wall. If the kids need a break, bring the whole family to listen to live music on two different stages with a variety of musical acts.

Once the kids have their fun, adults can cool off with a glass of German Riesling sangria, a specialty cocktail, or a variety of German brews to commemorate Oktoberfest in Germany. The Chamber of Sherman Oaks will provide refreshing drinks with help from The Local Peasant, which was coined LA Weekly’s “Best Bar in the Valley.”

Last but not least, renowned eateries such as The Grilled Cheese Truck, Lobsta Truck and Kona Ice will be parked and serving up mouthwatering food at the event. Enjoy over 12 trucks, each with a delicious handcrafted specialty food greater than the next. Pro-tip: try The Grilled Cheese Truck’s cheesy mac and rib sandwich, the combination of sharp cheddar cheese and house smoked BBQ pork will leave you wanting more.
